New Prepaid Lifecycle - FAQs
What is the New Prepaid Lifecycle? The New Prepaid Lifecycle is the period between activating the prepaid SIM and recycling it. It will apply only to new customers from the date of implementation.
The New Prepaid Lifecycle stages:
If an active prepaid SIM is not in use for 180 days, it enters a 7-day Safe Custody period. If the customer performs any revenue generating activity (SMS, call etc.), they’ll exit this stage.
If a SIM with the New Prepaid Lifecycle remains inactive during the Safe Custody period, i.e., 7 more days after being unused for 180 days, the SIM will move to Soft Deactivation Stage after sending warning text messages. To exit this stage, the customer will need to recharge the SIM and perform a revenue generating activity.
- From day 188-553 (365 days), the prepaid SIM will remain in quarantine period. During this period, any remaining balance will be lost, and the line will be barred and termed inactive.
- To make the SIM active again, customers can recharge the line anytime.
- If the line is not recharged during these 365 days, the number will be deactivated and recycled.
- Stage 1
What rate plans will be impacted by the New Prepaid Lifecycle?Once the New Prepaid Lifecycle is implemented, any customer activating a new PAYG, PAYG Data or alo SIM by performing their first call and choosing their preferred IVR language will have the New Prepaid Lifecycle for their line.
