  1. How can I check my balance?

     

    Simply dial *135# or call 135 and press 1

     

  2. Can I buy on behalf of someone else through du e-Shop using my ID?

     

    No, the SIM will only be activated during delivery upon physical verification of the user who placed the order online.

     

  3. Can I buy through du e-Shop using my friends/family Credit/debit card.

     

    No, for security reasons you should only use your UAE issued credit / debit cards which is registered under your name while making any purchase from du eShop.

     

  4. Can someone else receive my order on my behalf?

     

    No, at the time of delivery you will need to show your original documents, and physically sign on our device to get your product delivered/activated.

     

  5. If I pay through my Credit/Debit card will my transaction be secured?

     

    Yes. All card transactions processed through eShop are subject to our 3-D Secure payment gateway, giving customers maximum security and peace of mind for all online payments through du eShop.

     

  6. How long is my order valid for?

     

    You order will be valid for a maximum of 7 days. The system will automatically cancel the order if no confirmation has been received after the 7th day.

     

  7. How many prepaid numbers choice will I get while purchasing the prepaid SIM from du e-shop?

     

    You will get a choice of 8 numbers list from which you need to select and proceed with the order.

     

  8. What types of Credit cards are accepted on du e-shop?

     

    You can use any UAE bank issued credit/debit cards provided the card is valid and registered under your name.

    International credit cards, cash cards, and any other cards apart from a credit / debit card are not accepted.

     

  9. Can I edit my order after I checkout or I complete the order through e-shop?

     

    No, it will only be possible to edit your order prior to completing your order.

     

  10. Can I cancel my order I placed through du e-shop?

     

    You can cancel your order in the below scenarios:

    If you have completed your order, you can cancel the order before the delivery through the delivery courier.

    If you have already received delivery of the product then you cannot cancel your order and a refund won’t be applicable.

     

  11. I have cancelled my order I made through e-shop, how long will it take to receive my refund?

     

    Once you receive the order cancellation confirmation you will receive your refund within 8 to 10 working days.

     

  12. How many Prepaid SIM and recharge vouchers can I buy through du e-Shop?

     

    You can purchase either 1 PaYG or Tourist SIM in one order and maximum of 2 recharge vouchers.

    Note: Switch your data off before recharging to avoid losing credits in the process.

     

  13. How long will it take for purchased SIM and vouchers to be delivered?

     

    If you make a purchase before 12 pm you have an option of the same day delivery.

    Any purchase done after 12 pm the delivery will get scheduled for next working day.

     

  14. Is there a price difference between the Online Shop (eShop) and the du retail shop?

     

    No, the prices at the du retail shop and Online Shop (eShop) are the same.

     

  15. Will there be any separate shipping charge for delivery when I order through e-Shop?

     

    No there is no shipping or delivery charge for the order.

     

  16. Can customers purchase Recharge cards ONLY?

     

    No. Recharge cards can ONLY be purchased when purchasing a SIM.

     

  17. Are these plans available for all prepaid customers?

     

    Any prepaid customer, except Easy and Extra Social subscribers can subscribe to these plans.

     

  18. I recently activated my prepaid line, can I subscribe to one of these plans?

     

    Yes, you can.

     

  19. How will I know if my plan has been activated?

     

    You will receive a confirmation SMS once you have subscribed to a plan.

     

  20. Can I transfer the data to another mobile line through Mobile Credit Transfer service?

     

    Unfortunately, you won’t be able to transfer this data to another mobile line.

     

  21. Can I use the data & minutes while I am out of the country?

     

    No, the data & minutes can only be used within the UAE.

     

  22. Will my plan renew automatically?

     

    Yes, your plan will be automatically renewed. The fee will be deducted from your More Time wallet.

     

  23. What if I don’t have enough credit in my More Time wallet?

     

    The request will be stored for 10 days. If you don’t have enough credit at the end of this period, you will automatically be unsubscribed from the plan.

     

  24. What happens if I don’t finish my data or minutes within the validity period?

     

    Any leftover data or minutes will be lost if not used within the validity period.

     

  25. How can I check my remaining balance?

     

    SMS "Bal" to 1355 to check your balance anytime.

     

  26. Can I subscribe to two or more plans at the same time?

     

    No, you can only subscribe to one plan at a time.

     

  27. How can I upgrade, downgrade or re-subscribe to the same plan?

     

    You can subscribe to another plan or the same plan only when you fully consume your minutes, data or both allowances. Your new subscribed plan will be your new recurring plan.

  • Your relevant mobile service Terms and Conditions
  • Where the Service includes benefits provided by a third party partner, the terms and conditions of service for that service which are available on the relevant third party partner website (Partner Terms)
  • The frequently asked questions relating to the Service (FAQs) available at www.du.ae.

Eligibility

The following Subscribers are eligible to participate in the Service:

  • Natural persons (other than du employees or contractors and their close relatives and spouses), who are Subscribers of du’s Tourist SIM plan (“Subscribers”). 
  • du reserves the right to disqualify any Subscriber if it has reasonable grounds to believe such Subscriber has breached any provision of these terms.
  • By subscribing to the Service, Subscribers hereby warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete.

Acceptance of the Service terms and conditions

  • All Subscribers agree that that they have read, understood and accepted these terms as made available by du on the website, at www.du.ae, and that they have read, understood and accepted the relevant Partner Terms, as applicable.
  • By participating in the Service, each Subscriber provides their complete acceptance of these terms and agrees:
    • to receive via SMS communications from du about the Service; 
    • to receive via SMS advertising offers from du or the authorised agents of du; and
    • to receive SMS from du regarding any new offers or promotions. 
  • In the event of dispute regarding these terms, conduct, results, and all other matters relating to the Service, the decision of du shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. 
  • This agreement between du and a Subscriber will remain in full force and effect while du is conducting the Service (including any temporary suspensions of the Offer for operational reasons, e.g. for planned maintenance or upgrades).

Limitation of liability

  • If a Subscriber breaches any of these terms, du will not be responsible for any losses that the Subscriber or a third party suffers as a result.
  • du accepts no responsibility in respect to technical or operational failure relating to the Service, including without limitation, for any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure when it is not under its direct control and execution.
  • du reserves the right to temporarily suspend the Service whenever is deemed necessary (e.g. operational reasons such as for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades) or where required to do so by a third party partner. du shall endeavour to restore the Service as soon as possible after any temporary suspension period. 
  • du shall be entitled to remove, replace or update any third party services provided as part of the Service.

Disclaimer of warranties

  • Subscribers understand and agree that they participate in the Service at their own risk and willingness and have not been coerced in any manner to enter the Service.
  • du makes no warranty, implied or express, that any part of the Service (including any aspect of the Service provided by third parties) will be uninterrupted and error-free. Subscribers acknowledge that any third party service offered in conjunction with the Service is subject to availability and that du has no liability for any withdrawal of any third party service from the Service.
  • du or its authorised agents holds no responsibility for cancellation, extension or curtailment of the Service, or for any damage to a Subscriber’s or any other person's mobile telephone related to, or resulting from, participating in the Service or downloading any materials in respect to the Service. 
  • Neither du nor any of its directors, employees, agents or suppliers shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, death, personal injuries or disappointment (“Losses”) suffered by a Subscriber or a participant. By entering the Service, all participants agree that no claim relating to such Losses (including special, incidental, indirect and consequential losses) will be made against du, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents or suppliers.

Data protection

  • du shall collect, store, protect and share personal information (such as the name, mobile number, voice, images and any other personally identifiable information) of the Subscribers in connection with the Service and shall protect such information in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. 
  • du shall not release personal information about Subscribers to third persons, unless: i) required to do so by law or ii) to comply with orders or instructions by the applicable UAE regulatory or government authorities, or iii) if the Subscriber has first given his/her consent.

Governing Law

All and any Subscriber complaints will be dealt with by du at its discretion in accordance with the laws of the emirate of Dubai and the Federal laws of the UAE. Use of the Service is also subject to the Partner Terms, including as to governing law, as published on the web site of that third party partner.

Proprietary Rights

Subscribers must not to use or misuse any third party trademarks or intellectual property rights (such as the brand name of any third party partner) without the express written consent of the relevant proprietors.

No cash alternative

This Service is personal to you as a du Subscriber and is not transferable and cannot be re-sold or transferred to different individuals whether another du Subscriber or otherwise.
